Just the other day it came to my mind how fantastically magical IT is. No investments apart from some time and hard work are necessary to succeed. Think of the ‘PC in the garage’ kind of a setup. But what do you really need to become the king of the hill – yet another Bill Gates?
If you think about it, the recipe for success is pretty simple. Sit down, write some code, present your product to the world and enjoy the fame and glory. Why then most people fail to achieve all this? Why isn’t every freelance developer a start-up superhero? And finally (a bit embarrassing…) why am I not doing this myself? I wanted to learn the answers after becoming another big, fat IT failure.
